One might think being trapped on a deserted island with gorgeous people would be heavenly. Island paradises always make the best romantic backdrops and in hentai, there’s enough unabashed passion to go around to make The Blue Lagoon look like a children’s story by comparison. In the case of the students and teachers in Jutaijima, being trapped on an island with no help in sight and stricken with a curious virus turns into a total nightmare. Unless you’re an unscrupulous pervert, that is. A shoe-in for Worst School Trip of the Year, Jutaijima is edgy hentai in which women are forced to have sex with a less than flattering student or risk death by horniness.
If there’s one thing Hentai Internet dislikes more than NTR, it’s the “ugly bastard” trope. This is the term for typically unflattering middle-aged men who rely on bullying tactics and blackmail to coerce women into having sex with them. Ugly bastards and NTR tend to go hand-in-hand and can be hard to watch as beautiful and innocent wives and girlfriends are put through a physical, emotional, and psychological ringer until they come out as overwhelmed sex addicts. Shouta is another in a long line of ugly bastards who suddenly finds himself living his best life. During a class trip, a storm caught the boat they were traveling in and destroyed it making them castaways on an abandoned island that looks like something out of Battle Royale given the number of buildings and facilities left behind. Communications with the mainland are impossible and making matters worse is a bizarre virus that causes extreme sexual arousal in women. Forced to break through their inhibitions, the surviving ladies of the class find themselves openly pleasure themselves to climax in an attempt to fight off the effects of the virus. As it so happens, the only thing that can reduce symptoms is, conveniently, Shouta’s seminal fluids. Declared an unexpected savior of the class, Shouta revels in his newfound power over women who must choose between sex or death by a heart attack. As his victims reluctantly agree to his advances, Shouta takes this chance to convert these women into his personal sex toys, piling humiliations to bring them to the depths of sexual depravity.
Shouta relays his sexual exploits with Ichijou, one of the surviving adults who is researching a cure for the lady’s afflictions. As she graciously accepts Shouta into her body, she asks the young man to relate his “experiments” with the other girls which he relays through a collection of sexual encounters he has recorded. Jutaijime is a non-stop escapade of hot, sticky sex. Shouta takes advantage of the situation by engaging with a teacher and two students, wearing them down with round after round of intense sex. There is no love between Shouta and the students he fools around with, using literal life-saving sex as a means to break their will. Indeed, many of the women lament that they must give themselves over to someone so cruel and ugly. Would she feel differently if the protagonist was handsome?
As the days continue on with no rescue in sight, Shouta strengthens his reign through a daily regimen of medicinal sexual activity, spurred on by the shady and sexy Ichijou. In that time, one of the teachers has gotten pregnant and the other gals have developed an obsession with Shouta to the point where they actively beg for more sex. Eager, ready, and writhing, they spout out great diary talk as they plead and present themselves to Shouta’s inspection. The sexual activities continue for an indeterminate amount of time and at no point is there ever a serious discussion about the virus and how to cure it. That helps soften the blow of such a weak plot twist that ultimately serves as a bridge to seeing Ichijou go through Shouta’s sexual boot camp. The story resolves with no real conclusion, leaving the viewer to guess everyone’s fates. Judging by the final scene, in which Shouta’s attention is being fought over, I have a feeling that everything is probably under control.
Depending on your feelings on the subject matter, Jutaijime can be a little uncomfortable. There’s a malevolence to it, as noted by the stressful font of its title screen and the sinister camera angles always afforded to Shouta. As if his dialog and treatment of the women weren’t big enough a clue! As terrible a character he is, I have to be honest. The sex scenes in this show are really great and fun to watch. You’re treated to a bunch of positions and activities and watching the girls get into them more and more caused some delightful shivering. And making this all the more fun are the large breast sizes of each character that react wonderfully to their moving bodies. Boob fans, take note! Each scene involving the characters spotlights Shouta’s favorite position for each woman, rotating among his harem to ensure proper sexual programming. The fruits of Shouta’s labors bear fruit in the second episode, as the last vestiges of resistance make way for hotter and heavier sex scenes. I was particularly thankful for two scenes that featured some light bondage. At the end of every encounter, Shouta creates a literal fountain of cum as he explodes in and out of his new partners, causing fluid to drain out of every orifice and leave no body part untouched.
Jutaijima may not be the most overly pleasant hentai but despite though the protagonist’s reprehensible behavior and his taking advantage of a unique situation, I found that the sex in this OVA to be lip-bitingly good. Scenes are animated well and feature generous camera angles that show off each woman’s fleshy features and form. Negative, NTR-rich hentai is difficult to enjoy because they have a bad habit of making you feel really guilty. Jutaijima isn’t as bad as some of the NTR hentai I’ve seen before, probably because it doesn’t involve spouse-related blackmail and general misery, so I don’t feel bad about recommending it for those looking for some hentai with a bit of an edge. If you end up enjoying it, then you’ll want to check out Ura Jutaijim, a sort-of remake that features more girls and new personality types.
